Cold Temperatures East of the Cascades on Wednesday Morning
Areas of sub-freezing temperatures are likely in central and eastern Washington on Wednesday morning, April 15th, 2015. While the cold may not be especially severe, scattered to numerous sites should experience critical temperatures. The colder areas are expected to fall into the mid to upper 20s, while warmer sites will remain above freezing. A few of the coldest areas could potentially drop into the low 20s. Cool areas with fairly calm winds are likely to have a moderate strength inversion, and thus moderate efficacy from wind machines. The risk for isolated frost will continue into Thursday morning, at which time the inversion should be strong. The frost risk will be rather low beginning on Friday morning and for the foreseeable future. Please stay tuned to AgWeatherNet for updates on the variable spring weather.
