AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for March 3 to March 9, 2018

Slightly Unsettled and Variable Weather Expected; Milder Next Week

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

Slightly cool and unsettled yet largely benign weather is likely this weekend, as a weakening low pressure area slowly departs the region. Although a chance of showers exists, especially over the mountains, any precipitation that occurs will generally not be widespread or long lasting.

Milder and variable weather is expected for next week. There should be weak storms passing at times, along with intervals of anemic high pressure. Warmer temperatures are possible later in the period, and the pattern may eventually become increasingly active. While stronger storms and western rain may return by next Friday, precipitation chances could actually decrease in central Washington due to strengthening westerly air flow and downslope Chinook winds. Overall, a rather typical early spring weather pattern is forecast for the coming days.
