AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for June 10 to June 16, 2017

Cooler and Slightly Unsettled Weather Through Early Next Week

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

The cooler temperatures that arrived in Washington on Thursday look to linger into early next week, as Mother Nature's air conditioner (the Pacific Ocean) supplies a periodic influx of moderate maritime air into the region. A few clouds will maintain a slight chance of showers and breezes at times, as a strong June sun and cool air aloft combine forces to create rather unstable conditions. However, a warmer regime is expected later in the period, as yet another high pressure ridge invites air from the Desert Southwest back into the Northwest. Overall, the battle of the air masses should allow for changeable weather to continue in the coming days and weeks.

Temperatures
  • Cool through early next week, and especially on Saturday.
  • Warmer later in the period.

Precipitation
  • A chance of showers at times, mainly in the west.

Wind
