AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for March 18 to March 24, 2017

Windy on Saturday; Variable and Unsettled Conditions Next Week

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

Typically changeable spring weather looks to continue in the coming days, as somewhat unsettled conditions and generally seasonal temperatures can be expected. Saturday morning rainfall will be followed by a burst of strong wind, as a departing low pressure system drags another cold front through the region. Luckily, drier and calmer weather is likely for Sunday and Monday, although frosty mornings should occur in some areas. An increasing chance of periodic rain showers is forecast starting around next Tuesday. As a result of the increasing moisture and cloud cover, milder nights are anticipated later in the period, such that the primary concern for subfreezing temperatures will occur on Sunday and Monday mornings.

  • Generally seasonal.

Precipitation
  • Rain or showers on Saturday, and again starting around Tuesday in western Washington.
  • A chance of rain on Saturday morning east of the Cascades, and again later next week.
