AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for November 24 to December 2, 2016

Stormy Holiday Weekend on the Way

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

Whether you are traveling by plane, train, or automobile over the Holiday Weekend, be prepared for active and potentially rainy conditions. Periodic storms are likely to traverse Washington in the coming days, as rather wet, breezy, and mild weather continues. The stormiest interval should be Thanksgiving and Friday, although unsettled conditions could persist through at least Sunday. Fluctuating snow levels will make for variable weather in the mountains, although there may be significant snowfall in the high elevations, which is certainly something for which to be thankful. By next week, a somewhat drier and calmer pattern might take hold, although there could still be some unsettled weather at times.

Temperatures
  • Generally above normal, especially at night.
  • Possibly cooler next week.

Precipitation
  • Rain at times in western areas, mainly through the Holiday Weekend.
  • A chance of rain at times east of the Cascades, mainly through Sunday.

Wind
  • Breezy at times, especially through Saturday.
