AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for October 8 to October 14, 2016

Variable and Active Conditions on the Way

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

Rain is likely in the west this weekend, even as warmer air briefly moves into the state. Conditions look to be rather changeable during the upcoming outlook period, as stormy weather this weekend gives way to a northerly brush of drier air on Monday. The calmer and more stable pattern of early next week may persist through Wednesday in eastern areas. However, a potentially more active weather regime should develop by Wednesday night. In fact, western Washington could see significant rainfall later next week during what may be a wet and windy few days. Thus, a dynamic weather regime seems likely in the coming seven to ten days, which should not be a major surprise since October is a transition month when just about anything can happen.

Temperatures
  • Warmer this weekend, and then cooler next week.

Precipitation
  • Periods of western rain, possibly heavy, this weekend, with a chance of rain at times elsewhere.
  • Western rain likely at times beginning around Wednesday, with a chance of periodic rain elsewhere later in the week.

Wind
  • Breezy to windy at times, especially this weekend and again later next week.

8 to 14 Day Outlook - October 15, 2016 to October 21, 2016
