AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for October 1 to October 7, 2016

Cooler and Unsettled Conditions in the Coming Days

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

As the summer-like temperatures of earlier this week fade into memories, a chilly trough of low pressure entering the region will bring cooler and unsettled weather for the start of October. Although no major storms or significant impacts are expected, near to slightly below normal temperatures are likely, along with periodic breezes and western showers. In fact, any days that remain cloudy could be rather cool, and any clear and calm nights may be frosty in spots. Saturday should be somewhat showery in western areas, and then another system is possible around Tuesday morning. There could even be a dusting of snow at times on the highest peaks. Forecasting the timing and character of a few weak systems in the extended forecast looks to be difficult, but it is clear that next week will be quite different from this past week. Welcome to October.
