AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for June 25 to July 1, 2016

Seasonal Weather on Saturday; Becoming Warmer Next Week

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

A warm but pleasant Saturday afternoon is likely to follow a rather cool morning, as a trough of low pressure exits the state. However, in terms of temperatures, it should be mainly uphill thereafter, as another ridge of high pressure builds across the western US. The result will be mostly sunny and generally calm conditions, along with increasing heat through the middle of next week. A pulse of Pacific Ocean air conditioning may arrive later in the period, although its impact could be confined to western areas. Overall, hot summer weather is expected in the coming days, except at the coast.

  • Moderate on Saturday, and then warming to above normal.
  • Much warmer by the middle of next week.

  • A slight chance of western showers on Saturday morning.
  • Mostly dry overall.
  • A slight chance of especially western showers late in the period.

Wind
  • Breezy on Saturday morning.
