AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for April 16 to April 22, 2016

Dry and Warming This Weekend; Becoming Slightly Cooler Later Next Week

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

Although the past several days may have seemed quite chilly given the abnormally warm spring to date, conditions were hardly unusual for April. However, as the springtime temperature roller coaster continues, highs will begin to surge upward this weekend, while sunny and calmer weather returns. Many areas should again top out in the 80s by Monday. Western Washington may see yet another quick cooling trend back toward more normal weather by mid week, but the summer-like heat could linger for a while east of the Cascades. The weather may become more unsettled later in the period, but no major storms are expected at this time. Overall, there is still no end in sight to the remarkably consistent warmth of the last two years.
