AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for February 20 to February 26, 2016

Cooler and Drier This Weekend; Warmer Again Next Week

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357

Rivers should begin to recede this weekend, as a change toward briefly cooler and drier conditions diminishes the risk for additional widespread rainfall and snowmelt. However, a weak system may bring some rain to western Washington on Sunday. As a ridge of high pressure builds over the state next week, mainly dry and eventually warmer weather is likely. The ridge may not be strong enough to prevent occasional weak storms from brushing western Washington, but generally calmer weather is expected over this period.
