AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for October 3 to October 9, 2015

Windy on Saturday; Calmer Again Early Next Week

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357
Gerrit Hoogenboom, Director, 509-786-9371

An inside slider type of storm system is expected to drop in from the north on Friday night, before quickly exiting the region on Saturday. While minimal rainfall is anticipated from this unusual pattern, wind and blowing dust in the Basin should be the primary concern. Given that the wind stress will be from the north, which is an abnormal direction for this state, there is some concern for a few downed trees and other issues even with moderate speeds. Calmer and warmer daytime weather is likely for early next week, although slightly unsettled conditions may arrive later in the period.
