Washington can look forward to more pleasant weather this weekend relative to the oppressive heat of earlier this week. However, high temperatures will nonetheless remain above normal in the coming days, as mainly dry conditions persist. Abnormal warmth should return early next week, although not to the extent of the recent heat wave. Some relief is likely by Tuesday in the west, while eastern areas may have to wait until the middle to latter part of next week for cooler air to arrive.
