Cool and Unsettled on Saturday; Much Warmer Early Next Week

A very changeable spring pattern is expected during the outlook period. Cool and showery weather on Saturday should quickly transition to much warmer and drier conditions early next week. During the transition period, some rain may clip at least northern parts of western Washington, although the impacts should be rather minimal. Daytime warming in some areas could be on the order of 20 to 25 degrees in a matter of 2 or 3 days. High temperatures are likely to rise from the 50s and 60s on Saturday to the 70s and even 80s by Tuesday. While Monday is expected to be the warmest day at the coast, the heat should peak on Tuesday in eastern Washington. In any event, cooler and cloudier weather will eventually return sometime around the middle of next week.
