AgWeatherNet Weekly Weather Outlook for August 23 to August 29, 2014

Pleasant This Weekend; Becoming Warmer By the Middle of Next Week

Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357
Gerrit Hoogenboom, Director, 509-786-9371

Although a weak system arriving from the north may clip eastern Washington on Sunday, the general trend will be toward warming and drying conditions this weekend and beyond. By the middle of next week, much warmer and mainly sunny conditions will temporarily reclaim control of the state's weather. Although a major heat wave is certainly not expected, eastern areas should briefly rise into the 90s around next Wednesday, while interior western sites top out in the 80s. It appears that a switch to breezy and cooler westerly flow could arrive at the end of the period.
