A Chance of Rain on Saturday Night and Sunday; Milder Next Week

A non-descript pattern of periodically damp weather is expected for Washington during the coming week. After a somewhat cloudy but mainly dry start to Saturday, wet weather will move into western Washington late in the day and linger into Sunday, while a chance of rain should return to areas east of the Cascades. Seasonally cool conditions on Saturday will begin to warm slightly on Sunday. For next week, milder weather is expected, along with periodic chances of rain. Generally, Monday should be a dry day, with a chance of rain returning to mainly western areas on Tuesday in association with a weak front. Wednesday may be a drier day, and then more active weather could return later next week. Cooler weather is also possible later next week, especially in the mountains, although it remains uncertain at this time.
