An active and periodically wet weather pattern is likely for the foreseeable future, as we welcome in the month of November. Saturday will be a stormy day, as an area of low pressure transits the Washington/Canada border. It will be rainy in western and perhaps eastern areas, although south central Washington will be partially shadowed by the mountains. Strong wind is also likely, as most areas including central Washington can expect southwesterly winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts to 50 mph. By Sunday, Washington will be under the influence of a cool post-frontal trough. As a result, breezy and showery conditions are expected, along with snow showers in the mountains. Next week looks to be somewhat cool and unsettled, as a series of disturbances track through the Northwest. Overall, very cool conditions early next week should give way to some moderation later in the period, although cold weather may return next weekend.
