Isolated Showers and Thunderstorms This Weekend; Warm and Drier Next Week

South-southwesterly flow this weekend will cause isolated showers in western areas and isolated thunderstorms in eastern areas. However, most areas will be dry most of the time. As drier westerly flow resumes, slight warming is expected next week. Morning low clouds are expected in western areas, though eastern parts of the state will be mainly sunny and warm next week. High temperatures this weekend will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s in the west, except mid 60s to low 70s at the coast, with lows in the upper 40s to 50s. In central areas, highs will be in the 80s, with low temperatures in the 50s. In the east, highs will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s, with lows in the mid 40s to mid 50s.

Next week, eastern areas around Pullman and Spokane should experience highs in the 80s to around 90, with lows in the mid 40s to mid 50s. Central areas will climb into the 80s to low 90s during the day, with low temperatures in the 50s. Interior western areas will see highs in the 70s, and lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s.
