Storms will affect Washington every day or two beginning this weekend and continuing through next week. The result will be significant rain totals in western Washington, along with rain at times east of the Cascades, and periodically breezy conditions. The mountains will also see periods of heavy rain and high elevation snow, with fluctuating snow levels as numerous weather systems pass through the region. Flooding is possible in some areas during the wet week ahead. Presently, it appears that snow levels will begin fairly high on Saturday, and briefly fall to near pass level early on Sunday before rising again early next week. Temperatures will be above average, especially east of the Cascades. Highs will be in the 40s and 50s, with lows in the 30s and 40s. Overall, the coming Holiday week will live up to its reputation as a stormy period, with wet and relatively mild weather.
