Cold weather this weekend will give way to slightly milder but still seasonally cool weather next week. Two storms are likely to affect Washington during this time frame, although there will be several dry periods. The most likely periods for precipitation will be Sunday night/Monday and then later next week. A slight chance of showers but mostly dry conditions will prevail from Saturday into early Sunday. Highs this weekend will be in the 30s and 40s, with lows in the upper teens to 20s, except upper 20s to mid 30s west of the Cascades. A storm will bring precipitation into western Washington on Sunday, which will spread east of the Cascades overnight into Monday. Western Washington will experience rain, while areas east of the Cascades will likely begin as snow or a mix before changing over to rain and tapering off on Monday. Several inches of snow will fall in the mountains. Following a lingering chance of showers on Tuesday, drier conditions are likely around mid week, until another system reaches Washington later in the week. Highs will generally be in the 40s to low 50s east of the Cascades, with upper 40s to mid 50s in western Washington. Lows will be in the upper 20s to 30s east of the Cascades, and upper 30s to mid 40s in western Washington.
