Warm on Saturday and Then Cooler and Breezy Early Next Week

Warm and humid weather on Saturday will transition to cooler weather early next week. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with warm frontal rainfall in northwestern Washington, and a chance of rain elsewhere in western Washington. Rain will spread southward in western Washington on Saturday evening as a cold front moves through the region. The highest rain totals will be in the northern part of the state. Scattered showers and cooler temperatures are likely on Sunday in western Washington. The Pullman/Spokane area will have a chance of rain Saturday night and Sunday. Central Washington will generally be dry this weekend, with mostly sunny skies returning on Sunday, along with windy conditions and blowing dust. A trough of low pressure will move over the area on Monday, bringing cool temperatures, breezy winds, and a chance of showers or thunderstorms across the state that will linger through Tuesday. Drier, calmer, and potentially much warmer weather will arrive later in the week, as high pressure builds back into the region.

  • Rain in northwestern Washington on Saturday morning. Rain will spread southeastward through western Washington during the day on Saturday.
  • Rain likely on Saturday evening/night in western Washington, with showers likely on Sunday and into early next week.
  • A chance of rain or showers in the Pullman/Spokane area on Saturday night and Sunday, with showers possible Monday and Tuesday.
  • Mostly dry this weekend, with showers possible in central Washington early next week.
  • Drier everywhere by mid week.
