Nic Loyd, Meteorologist, 509-786-9357
Gerrit Hoogenboom, Director, 509-786-9371

Unsettled weather and cool temperatures in the 50s and 60s will continue on Saturday before warmer temperatures return early next week. Showers on Saturday, especially in eastern Washington, will diminish to only a chance of showers for the Pullman/Spokane area early on Sunday. Windy conditions will also occur on Saturday as the result of the departing upper level low pressure system. Conditions will be more seasonal due to a ridge of high pressure early next week, with temperatures climbing above 70 degrees at times for parts of western and eastern Washington, and above 80 degrees in central Washington at times. While it will be mostly dry for much of the week, there will be a chance of showers at times in the north, as weak weather systems clip northern Washington. Overall, warm conditions early in the week will transition to cooler conditions later in the week, as zonal flow gives way to another trough of low pressure.
