Unsettled weather is coming this weekend and especially early next week to Washington. There will be a chance of showers for western Washington and the Pullman/Spokane area this weekend, although little total rainfall is generally expected. Windy conditions in central Washington will accompany a cold frontal passage on Saturday. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible during the outlook period. Highs will range from 60 to 65 in western Washington to the 70s to around 80 in central Washington this weekend. Following a cloudy and balmy Saturday morning with temperatures in the 50s, cooler air will mean a return to lows in the mid 40s to low 50s from Sunday morning into the middle part of next week. Rain chances increase by Monday, as cool day-time weather envelops the entire state. While unlikely, there is an outside chance that a cold area like Moxee or Pullman could fall into the 30s around early to mid next week, given the right combination of clear and calm conditions. With cooler air moving in, dew point temperatures in some areas could fall to near freezing at times. Highs through mid week will range from the mid 60s to mid 70s in central Washington to the mid 50s to mid 60s elsewhere. With cold air aloft, snow showers could fall at times in the high Cascades. Temperatures may warm slightly, with the possibility of somewhat drier conditions returning later next week.
