Wet and Stormy Through Mid Next Week

A parade of storms will bring rain and wind to Washington for next week. The persistent trough of low pressure in the eastern Pacific Ocean will continue to steer a moist, southwesterly jet stream into the region. The trend of above average precipitation and near average temperatures will continue. Clouds and periodic rain will keep temperatures cool during the day, especially in western Washington, while nights will be generally above freezing. While the details remain uncertain, the overall trend suggests warmer weather early next week, and then slightly cooler later in the week, with the possibility of frost returning by late next week.
