Much Warmer This Weekend

Temperatures will be much warmer this weekend as high pressure builds in from the southwest and pushes the jet stream north of Washington. Much of south central Washington may experience highs in the 60s. Although most areas should be dry, there is a chance of rain in western Washington, especially in the northwestern areas, as weather systems try to clip the northern part of the region.

Following a mild Sunday night and Monday, another storm system will bring rain to western Washington, windy conditions to eastern Washington, and snow to the mountains early next week. Temperatures will trend downward after a cold frontal passage Monday night, and will be nearer to normal by mid next week. Warmer and drier conditions will return by late next week.
