Warmer Than Normal Temperatures Through Mid Week

Several weak weather systems will affect Washington this week, although the weather will be relatively tranquil in central Washington. The strongest system will move through the region on Wednesday night and Thursday. Rain will fall at times in western Washington, especially on Wednesday and Thursday, while areas east of the Cascades will be mostly dry with breezy conditions on Thursday. Temperatures will climb to above normal readings by mid week. Following mild conditions on Wednesday night, temperatures will cool to near normal late in the week and into the weekend.

South Central Washington
  • Normal conditions for this time of year would be highs in the upper 30s to around 40 and lows in the 20s.
This Week
  • Variably cloudy and mostly dry, with only a slight chance of rain on Wednesday night.
  • Highs warming into the mid 40s to mid 50s by Wednesday and Thursday, and then slightly cooler on Friday.
  • Lows in the mid 20s to 30s, and warmest on Wednesday night.

North Central Washington
  • Normal conditions for this time of year would be highs in the low to mid 30s and lows in the upper teens to low 20s.
This Week
  • Variably cloudy and mostly dry, with only a slight chance of rain on Wednesday night.
  • Highs warming into the low to mid 40s by Wednesday and Thursday, and then slightly cooler on Friday.
  • Lows in the mid 20s to mid 30s, and warmest on Wednesday night.

Eastern Washington
  • Normal conditions for this time of year would be highs in the mid to upper 30s and lows in the mid to upper 20s.
This Week
  • A chance of rain Wednesday night and Thursday, otherwise mostly dry.
  • Highs in the mid to upper 40s through Wednesday, and then cooler by Friday with highs dropping into the upper 30s.
  • Lows in the 30s early in the week, and then lows in the upper 20s to around 30 on Friday morning.

Western Washington
  • Normal conditions for this time of year would be highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s.
This Week
  • Rain at times, especially on Wednesday and Thursday
  • Highs in the 50s and lows in the 40s early in the week, and then highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s by Thursday and Friday.
