Coldest Weather of the Season This Weekend and then Warmer Next Week

Cold weather is expected this weekend, with a chance of snow in eastern Washington and a slight chance of rain or snow in western Washington on Saturday. East of the mountains the highs will generally be in the 30s with lows in the teens, while west of the mountains the highs will be in the low 40s with lows in the upper 20s. Warmer and unsettled conditions will return next week with highs in the 40s to around 50 and lows around 30.

South Central Washington
  • Normal conditions for this time of year would be highs in the mid to upper 40s and lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.
Weekend
  • A chance of snow Saturday morning and cold, with highs in the low 30s in the Yakima area to mid to upper 30s in the Tri-Cities area, and lows 15 to 20 in the Yakima area and 20 to 25 in the Tri-Cities area.
  • The coldest temperatures are likely to occur on Sunday morning.
Next Week
  • A slight chance of rain at times and becoming warmer, especially in the Walla Walla and Tri-Cities areas, with highs in the low 40s Monday and then climbing into the upper 40s to mid 50s, and lows in the 30s by mid week.

North Central Washington
  • Normal conditions for this time of year would be highs in the upper 30s to around 40 and lows in the upper 20s.
Weekend
  • A chance of snow Saturday morning and cold, with highs in the low 30s in the Wenatchee area to upper 20s to around 30 in the Omak area, and lows in the teens to around 20 in the Wenatchee area and 5 to 15 in the Omak area.
  • The coldest temperatures are likely to occur on Sunday morning

  • A slight chance of rain or snow and becoming warmer with highs Monday in the 30s and then climbing into the 40s, and lows in the upper 20s by mid week.

Eastern Washington
  • Normal conditions for this time of year would be highs in the low 40s and lows around 30.
Weekend
  • A slight chance of snow and cold, with highs in the upper 20s to around 30 and lows in the teens to around 20.
  • The coldest temperatures are likely to occur on Sunday morning.
Next Week
  • A chance of rain or snow and then a chance of rain and warmer, with highs Monday in the upper 30s and then climbing to between 45 and 50, and lows in the low 30s by mid week, and then cooling late in the week.

Western Washington
  • Normal conditions for this time of year would be highs around 50 and lows in the upper 30s.
Weekend
  • Cool with a slight chance of rain or snow showers Saturday and slightly warmer on Sunday. Highs Saturday in the upper 30s to around 40 inland and in the north, to low to mid 40s in the south and on the coast, and then highs in the 40s Sunday. Lows 25 to 30 away from water and cities, and 30s on the coast and Puget Sound.
Next Week
  • Rain and windy at times, especially at the coast and in the north, and warmer with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s and lows in the low 40s, and then cooling late in the week.
